Gregory J. Accetta, MAI, MRA is a Certified General real property appraiser in Rhode Island with an extensive background in commercial appraisal and appraisal review. Greg holds the Appraisal Institute's MAI designation and the MRA designation from the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA).

Work Experience

Greg was a Senior Vice President with Bank of America for 17 years where he was responsible for the engagement and coordination of externally prepared appraisals, appraisal review, and policy administration. He is a former Chair of the Appraisal Standards Board, which is responsible for writing, interpreting, and promulgating the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Greg is a former member of the Rhode Island Real Estate Appraisers Board, which is responsible for establishing policy and directing the administration of the State of Rhode Island real estate appraisal licensing and certification program.

Instruction Experience

Greg is a member of the faculty and appraisal education developer for the Appraisal Institute, Risk Management Association, and MBREA. He is a Certified USPAP Instructor. Greg is a member of The Appraisal Journal Editorial Board. He is the author of several articles published in The Appraisal Journal and The Journal of Lending & Credit Risk Management.
